Genmaicha Green Tea - Organic A traditional Japanese green tea made with Organic Sencha leaves and toasted rice. Originally, years ago, toasted rice was added to expensive sencha tea to help it go further and help make the tea more affordable. The addition of toasted rice to the sencha tea combined very well and the tea quickly proved popular. The infusion is pale green with a distinctive slightly nutty and sweetish taste from the toasted rice. If you enjoy green tea and the toasty aroma of rice cakes we think you'll love it!
