Iron Goddess of Mercy Oolong
Iron Goddess of Mercy Oolong Tea (TieGuanYin) - Wulong Tea - This beautiful Oolong tea is one of China's Ten Famous Teas. It is named after a statue of the Buddhist "Goddess of Mercy" (Guanyin) located in the centre of the village where the tea is grown in the Anxi region of Fujian province, China.
The tea is semi-oxidised (20-30%) which creates a honey-coloured brew with sweet, floral notes, a delicate flavour, and lingering aftertaste. The leaves are wrap-curled and unfurl during brewing to reveal a beautiful lace-edged filigree appearance. Suitable for Gong Fu brewing & multiple infusions, or Western style brewing in a teapot.
