Keemun Black Tea
Keemun Black Tea - Also known as Qimen Tea. This traditional Chinese black tea from Qimen, Anhui province, China, provides a reddish infusion with a distinctive, floral, slightly smoky aroma, hints of plum, and malty, unsweetened cocoa taste.
Keemun is one of China's Ten Famous Teas. First produced in the late 19th century, it was used in the earliest English Breakfast blends and quickly became popular in the West. It is still used for a number of classic blends and has a distinctive character.
There is sometimes a tendency to chase 'New' and 'Different' ... meaning that this traditional black tea is often overlooked. But Keemun has a unique character that is highly regarded by those who discover it.
